EEE-ULTRA SHINE on CUTTING BOARDS

Hi, could I use EEE ultra shine on a cutting board? After the turpentine evaporated is it food safe?

Hello Joel

You could use it but definitely not recommended as the abrasive that’s left in the grain will blunt knives and may add super fine grit to food, etc.

Traditional Wax (neutral) is fine once the turpentine has flashed off and is used by a big butcher block manufacturer here in Geelong IHR Butcher Blocks who have supplied their blocks to TV shows and high-end restaurants around the world.

You can also use FoodSafe Plus.

If using Traditional Wax or FoodSafe Plus you will need to sand to at least 800 grit or above, then apply as per instructions found >HERE<

Hope this is of some help.
